Sunday — Joanne Noullet of Butler told police that a purse was stolen from her car parked on West Jefferson Street.

Friday — Task force officers arrested five people for driving under the influence and another on drug-related charges during roving patrols throughout the county.A fugitive wanted on a bench warrant issued out of Allegheny County was arrested.Additionally, officers issued 10 citations each for underage drinking and various traffic violations; 16 traffic warnings were issued.

9 p.m. Monday — Carmen Morra, 54, of Chicora was arrested for violating a court-issued protection from abuse order after he allegedly contacted Sandra Morra, 40, of Butler by telephone at Meadow Court in Center Township. He was arraigned on a charge of indirect criminal contempt and released on recognizance bond.Monday — Someone punctured seven tires on a pair of vehicles parked on McEwen Lane near Branchton Road in Cherry Township. The damage totaled $910. Joshua Allio and Angel Jones, both of Slippery Rock, own the vehicles that were vandalized between 11:30 p.m. Sunday and 8:15 a.m. Monday.Monday — Someone smashed out a window of a car on Grant City Road in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County, and stole a purse. James Rogerson of Butler owns the car; Brittany Weitzel of Butler owns the purse.Monday — Police reported they have a suspect in the alleged theft July 24 or 25 of a bank card owned by William McCurdy of Franklin Township. The suspected thief, who police did not identify, later used the card at different ATMmachines to withdraw $364 from McCurdy's bank account.

7:50 p.m. Friday — Mechanical failure was blamed for causing a pickup truck to catch fire on Route 28 in Buffalo Township, Butler County. Christopher Bard, 22, of Monroeville, Allegheny County, who was driving the pickup, was able to get out safely. Buffalo Township volunteer firefighters extinguished the blaze.2:43 p.m. Friday — A Worthington man was seriously injured when his pickup truck crashed down a steep embankment and hit several trees along Route 28 in

Samuel Lee Beers, 22, was flown by medical helicopter with head injuries to Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. His condition was not known this morning.Police said Beers, who was not wearing a seat belt, lost control of the vehicle after falling asleep at the wheel.Thursday — Beth Neff of East Brady told police that an unidentified man and woman took $100 from a purse she left her in car while using an automated teller machine at the NexTier Bank on Main Street in Chicora. The theft occurred between midnight and 1:30 a.m.

2:25 a.m. Saturday — Adam Beggs, 25, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Springfield Church Road in Jackson Township, Mercer County.12:30 p.m. Thursday — An 88-year-old woman told police some of her Social Security checks have been stolen from the mailbox of her Route 19 home in Springfield Township, Mercer County.Grove City PoliceMonday — Tom McFeaters, 43, of East Poplar Street reported a bicycle was taken from his residence between 9:30 p.m. Sunday and 6:30 a.m. Monday.Monday 4 p.m. — A rear-end accident at the intersection of East Main Street and Madison Avenue sent a Slippery Rock woman to Grove City Medical Center.Pamela Gray, 48, was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Raymond Gray, 63, also of Slippery Rock, that was hit from behind by a car driven by Jacob Edmunds of Slippery Rock. Edmunds will be cited for careless driving.Monday — A push mower was recovered on Craig Street. Anyone with information on a missing push mower is asked to contact Grove City police.Wednesday — A prescription of hydrocodeine was taken from a vehicle owned by Michael Rose, 20, of Grace Street between 12:30 and 5 p.m. Anyone with information is asked to contact Grove City police.Saturday 2:26 a.m. — Chad Moore, 26, of Park Street was arrested for driving under the influence after he was stopped for a speeding violation on West Main Street. Moore was also charged with a DUI-related driving under suspension violation.Saturday — A street sign at South Center Street and Uber Way was reported missing and is thought to have been taken between 10 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday. Anyone with information may call Grove City police.
