Groves, Balk
Leah Groves of Chicora and Daniel Balk of Butler were united in marriage June 23 at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church in Chicora. The Rev. Peter Horton officiated. A reception followed at the St. Jude Golf Club.
The bride is the daughter of Katherine and Jeffery Groves of Chicora. Parents of the bridegroom are Thomas and April Balk of Butler.
The honor attendant was Lauren Groves of Uniontown. Bridesmaids included Emileigh Geibel of Chicora, Michelle Yurkovac of Economy and Nicole Balk of Butler.
Performing the duties of best man was David Balk of Butler. Ushers included Shawn Vincent and Joshua Epps, both of Butler, and Trevor Sepich of Annapolis, Md.
The bride is a 2006 graduate of Karns City High School. She is employed by Pier 1 Imports in Pittsburgh.
The bridegroom graduated from Butler High School in 2006. He is employed by Hampton EMS.
Following a honeymoon trip to Honolulu, the couple is making their home in Millvale.
