Author to discuss Pittsburgh tycoons

The Cranberry Genealogy Club and the Cranberry Township Historical Society will host a presentation with author and journalist Mark Houser at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, at the Cranberry Public Library, 2525 Rochester Road.

The presentation, “The 1900s Wall Street of Pittsburgh,” will introduce the Pittsburgh business tycoons of the early 1900s and tell stories about the construction of their skyscrapers.

Houser is the author of “Multistories: 55 Antique Skyscrapers & the Business Tycoons Who Built Them.” An award-winning journalist and public speaker, Houser’s work has led to appearances on local and national TV and radio. He also hosts a popular “Antique Skyscraper Rooftops" guided tour in Pittsburgh.

Attendance at the program is free, but registration is required. Register by visiting www.cranberrylibrary.org or by calling the library at 724-776-9100.
