Butler Art Center show winners reported

Mark Anderson's acrylic painting “Autumn Grouse” won Best of Show in the Butler Art Center's annual Nature and Wildlife Show.

Winners in the Butler Art Center’s annual Nature and Wildlife Show were announced recently.

Best of Show was awarded to Mark Anderson for his acrylic painting called “Autumn Grouse.”

“Ram” by Sue Baechtel, second

“Plein Air Study” by Lauren Clark, honorable mention

“Blue’s Game No. 1” by Kristy Dubinsky, honorable mention

“In Flight” by John Kaylor, honorable mention

Photography and digital art

“Spring Beauty” by Fred Young, first

“Follow the Treeway” by Nancy McCaskey, second

“Mussels” by Carl Clark, honorable mention

“Milkweed” by Helen Bunting-Hart, honorable mention

“Noble” by Greg Steighner, honorable mention

“Tulip” by Karen Lovette, honorable mention.

The Nature and Wildlife Show will continue through Sept. 30. Admission is free. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays.
