Anna Mary Reed, 95, formerly of Brady Township, Clarion County, died Saturday at Clarview Rest Home, Sligo.

Born July 3, 1914, in Worthington, she was the daughter of Floyd E. and Florence (Hesselgesser) Clark.

She was the wife of the late Harry Reed, who she married June 8, 1947, and who died Oct. 6, 2001.

She was a 1932 graduate of Kittanning High School.

She enjoyed cooking, and she owned and operated the Captain Brady Inn in Brady Township 1947 to 1953 and she owned and operated The Narrows Restaurant in Brady Township from 1953 to 1965.

She was a member the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Worthington.

She joined the Order of the Eastern Star in East Brady in 1955. She was the worthy matron in 1965. She served as grand representative and had several appointments. She was a member of the OES Chapter 230, New Bethlehem, after the East Brady chapter closed.

She is survived by a daughter, Pamela L. McGinnis of Brady Township; a son, Robert C. Reed of Brady Township; four grandchildren, Shawn McGinnis of Sarver, Scott McGinnis of East Brady, Gregg McGinnis of Naperville, Ill., and Heather Reed Karenbauer of Butler; a step-grandson, Brian Ferringer; two step-great-grandchildren, Brian Ferringer Jr. and Aime Ferringer; and two nephews, Phillip and David Clark in California.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother.

<B>REED</B> — Friends of Anna Mary Reed, who died Saturday, Dec. 26, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Charles B. Buechele Funeral Home</B>, 105 Fourth St., East Brady. The Order of Eastern Star Chapter 230 will conduct a memorial service at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Services will be at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Lawrence R. Camberg, interim pastor of Evangelical Lutheran Church, Worthington, officiating.Private burial will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington.
