Local communities will hold egg hunts this month. The following egg hunts are scheduled:

10 a.m. March 19, Valencia Presbyterian Church, 80 Sterrett St., Valencia. The event is free for children ages 10 and younger and will include crafts, games and prizes. Register at www.valenciapresbyterian.com through March 17.

10:30 a.m. March 19, CrossWay Church, 109 Davis Road, Valencia. The free “Easter EGGspedition” will be outside and indoors. It is for children ages 12 and younger and will include carnival games, a bounce house, food, fire trucks, live music and performances, face painting and prizes. Take a basket. 10 a.m. to noon March 26, Christ’s Outreach Church, 120 Walker Ave. The hunt is for children ages 1 through 12. Make reservations by March 19 at www.cocbutler.org or call 724-283-8407.

10 to 11 a.m. March 26, First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown, 5825 Heckert Road, Bakerstown. The hunt is for children ages 2 through fourth grade and will feature an Easter puppet show and fun singing. Register by March 21. Take a basket. For more information, call 724-443-1555.

11 a.m. March 26, Freeport Community Park, Community Park Road, Freeport. The Freeport Kiwanis Club will host the event.

11 a.m. March 26, Roebling Park, 147 N. Rebecca St., Saxonburg. The Saxonburg Business Association will host “Easter in the Park” for children younger than 12. The event will include photos with the strolling Easter bunny and several “golden ticket eggs” for big prizes.
