2:34 a.m. Saturday — An unknown man wearing a light blue or gray hoodie took a skateboard from the front porch of the West Penn Street home of Barb Coulson.Coulson's son saw the thief take the skateboard, valued at $138, and run off. The skateboard has a black top and the bottom is also black with a yellow square. It has white wheels and "R Coulson" engraved on it.3:31 a.m. Saturday — Lenora Lowers, 38, of Butler was arrested for driving under the influence on West Jefferson Street. She was also cited for driving without a license and driving on the wrong side of the road.Saturday — Police charged Thomas B. Fink, 54, and his son, Thomas A. Fink, 27, both of Gibsonia, Allegheny County, with theft for allegedly stealing 24 pallets from behind the Shop-n-Save store at Pullman Square. The pallets have a combined value of $172.
9:21 p.m. Saturday — Bryan Brinkley, 18, of Parker was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop on Hansen Avenue. He was also cited for an illegal left turn.Rachel Kastelic, 18, of Butler, a passenger in the vehicle, was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.
3:55 a.m. Sunday — Eric Venezie, 22, of Ellwood City, Lawrence County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 108 in Slippery Rock.2:23 p.m. Saturday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Kenneth Holland, 54, of Slippery Rock struck a deer on Route 8 in Center Township.7:15 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Megan Powell, 21, of East Stroudsburg, Monroe County, and a sport utility vehicle driven by Nicholas Sprowl, 25, of Youngstown, Ohio, collided on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township.7 p.m. Friday — Someone found a bicycle in weeds along Henricks Road just west of railroad tracks near Palmer Road in Center Township. The owner can claim the bike by calling the barracks at 724-284-8100.Thursday — A blue, wooden Amish mailbox was taken between 4:30 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday from the Stein Road home of Ruth Gardner in Oakland Township.Jan. 10 — An apparently hungry burglar broke into the Dick Road home of Timothy Gordon in Connoquenessing Township and stole food from the refrigerator. The burglary occurred between 6:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
Sunday — Police reported they are investigating the alleged rape of a girl last month in Summit Township, Butler County. The girl, accompanied by her mother, told authorities she attended a party in late December and was raped by one of the guests. Police released no other information.1:50 a.m. Saturday — Deborah Malmeister, 41, of Worthington was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 422 in East Franklin Township, Armstrong County.
