Sentence Court

The following defendants were sentenced March 17 by Butler County Common Pleas Judge Kelley Streib:

Demond Richard Cash, 50, of Butler, was sentenced to serve 18 to 48 months in state prison and to pay $100 in restitution to the county drug task force after pleading guilty to a felony charge of conspiracy to possess a controlled substance with intent to deliver filed by county detectives following a Feb. 14, 2022, incident. He was given credit for having served 396 days in jail.

Damian Jamar Blystone, 20, of Butler, was given two concurrent sentences of time served to 23 months and 15 days in prison followed by 36 months of probation after pleading guilty to two charges of receiving stolen property filed in separate cases by Middlesex Township police following a Jan. 26, 2022, incident and by Penn Township police following a Dec. 23, 2021, incident. As part of the plea agreement, he was not prosecuted on charges of terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person, firearms not to be carried without a license and other charges state police filed following a Jan. 18, 2022, incident.

Matthew Austin Thomas, 33, of Mars, was given two concurrent sentences of 18 to 36 months in prison followed by 48 months of probation, fined $5,000 and ordered to complete 80 hours of community service after pleading guilty to a fourth and subsequent offense of driving under the influence of a controlled substance — impaired ability — filed by Middlesex Township police following a Feb. 27, 2020, incident and a fourth and subsequent offense of DUI of a controlled substance — schedule 1 — filed by Adams Township police following a Sept. 19, 2020, incident. In addition, he was sentenced to concurrently serve one to two months in prison followed by 10 months of probation and pay $308 in restitution after pleading guilty to a charge of retail theft filed by Cranberry Township police following a March 13, 2021, incident.

Rodney Devon Oakes, 42, of Natrona Heights, Allegheny County, was sentenced to serve 21 to 60 months in state prison after being found guilty in a nonjury trial in August 2020 of possession of heroin with intent to deliver filed by state police following a Nov. 20, 2018, incident.

Randall Edward Hegedis, 66, of Butler, was sentenced to serve 30 days in prison followed by six months of probation and pay $2,550 in fines after pleading guilty to charges of fleeing from police and his third offense of driving with a suspended license filed by Butler Township police following a Feb. 27, 2020, incident.

Jason David Wolfson, 44, of Bensalem, Bucks County, was sentenced to serve 72 hours to six months in prison, pay a $1,000 fine and complete 40 hours of community service after pleading guilty to a charge of DUI filed by state police following a May 4, 2018, incident.

Michael Bien, 42, of Greensburg, Westmoreland County, was sentenced to serve 72 hours to six months in prison, pay a $1,000 fine and complete 40 hours of community service after pleading guilty to a charge of DUI filed by Cranberry Township police following a March 8, 2021, incident.

Robin Charles Brain, 32, of Kennerdell, Venango County, was sentenced to serve six months of probation, including 30 days of house arrest; pay a $300 fine; and complete 40 hours of community service and litter pickup after pleading guilty to his second DUI offense filed by state police following a Sept. 5, 2020, incident.

Bruce Hubbard, 65, of Wilkinsburg, Allegheny County, was sentenced to serve two concurrent terms of 11 months and 29 days to 23 months and 28 days in prison and pay $1,679 in restitution to Walmart after pleading guilty to felony charges of retail theft and conspiracy to commit retail theft filed by Cranberry Township police following a June 6, 2019, incident.

Ronald L. Piper, 46, of Butler, was sentenced to serve 12 months of probation after pleading guilty to a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia filed by Butler City police following a June 19, 2021, incident.

Justin Douglas Woods, 26, of Butler, was sentenced to serve 60 months of probation, including 105 days on house arrest; pay a $1,500 fine; and complete 40 hours of community service and litter pickup after pleading guilty to his second DUI offense filed by Butler City police following a June 29, 2021, incident.

Holly Dene Bartlett, 54, of Butler, was sentenced to serve six months of probation after pleading guilty to a charge of theft by deception filed by Butler Township police following a June 18, 2022, incident.

Rachel C. Baylock, 45, of Butler, was sentenced to serve 12 months of probation, including six months of house arrest; and pay a $2,500 fine after pleading guilty to her third driving with a suspended license offense filed by Butler Township police following a July 25, 2022, incident.

Misty L. Dean, 38, of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, was sentenced to serve 12 months of probation, pay a $100 fine, pay $128 in restitution and complete the county’s retail theft offender program after pleading guilty to a charge of retail theft filed by Cranberry Township police following a June 5, 2022, incident.

Jerrold Louis Beich, 22, of Sharpsville, Mercer County, was sentenced to serve 60 months of probation, including 105 days of house arrest; pay a $1,500 fine; and complete 40 hours of community service after pleading guilty to his second DUI offense filed by state police following a Feb. 7, 2022, incident.

Abbi Rose Cochran, 32, of Hilliards, was sentenced to serve six months of probation after pleading guilty to a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia filed by county detectives following a June 22, 2022, incident.

Trisha M. McGinty, 43, of Sharpsville, Mercer County, was sentenced to serve 60 months of probation, including 105 days of house arrest; pay a $1,500 fine; and complete 40 hours of community service after pleading guilty to her second DUI offense filed by state police following a June 6, 2021, incident.

Justin William Tirk, 30, of Saxonburg, was sentenced to serve 60 months of probation, including 105 days of house arrest; pay fines totaling $1,800; and complete 40 hours of community service and litter pickup after pleading guilty to his first and second DUI offenses. The first offense was filed by Evans City/Seven Fields Regional police following a Jan. 21, 2022, incident. Middlesex Township police filed the second offense following an April 19, 2022, incident.
