CRANBERRY TWP — Three new businesses and the expansion of another are expected to be voted on March 3 by the township supervisors.

Those new businesses are a yoga studio, a health spa and a large used car dealership. An expansion of the existing Allegheny Plastics facility on Freedom Road also is planned.

Plans for those business were discussed by the supervisors Thursday night.

Here are the projects:

Fitness businessesPrima Yoga, a new 2,475-square-foot yoga studio, will open on Route 19 in the Cranberry Square shopping mall that was previously the home of Elite Dance By Damian, which has moved to another location.Studio owners Jessica Bajoras and Jamie Malinowski plan to offer yoga positions classes for people of all ages and skill levels.A new health spa is planned on Route 19 in the Viola building that formerly housed the Market Place supermarket.The new 8,500-square-foot health spa will be in the vacated space next to Advanced Auto Parts, which opened recently.>B>CarSenseA large used car dealership is planned to be next to the Victory Family Church on Route 19 in the northern end of the township. CarSense, which has three dealerships in the Philadelphia area, plans to build a 29,510-square-foot dealership here.Supervisors had approved the plan for the new car dealership several months ago.Changes to the layout of the main building and other landscaping changes forced the developers to seek reapproval.

Allegheny PlasticsThe Allegheny Plastics building on Freedom Road, a light manufacturing facility, will build a 13,949-square-foot addition.The company’s specialty is making plastic cards such as credit, gas, phone and gift cards.Ron Henshaw, township director of community development, said the company also is adding a section of permeable pavement to its parking lot, the first time this type of “green pavement” will be used in the township.Township officials thought the area would be a good test of this type of new pavement that allows water to seep through rather than runoff into storm drains.
