An anonymous donation of $8,500 was made to repair the roof of the Penn Theater.

“We didn’t expect to get an anonymous donation like this, so it’s a good thing that we’re ahead of schedule,” said Dane Winkler, co-chair of the Penn Theater Performance Company. “The roof was the first thing that we wanted to get started. We’re further along than we thought we’d be.”

Gary Neff Roofing & Gutter is working on the roof repairs. The work will be warranted for 10 years. Winkler said the next focus for repairs will be the wall behind the main theater.
