Ray and Bea Gallagher of Butler will celebrate 50 years of marriage today with a dinner for family and friends at the South Butler Fire Hall. They will also celebrate with a cruise on the Mexican Riviera in December.

The former Beverly Paulsen married Gallagher on Oct. 12, 1954, at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman.

They have four children, Bruce Gallagher of Renfrew and Kevin Gallagher, Dale Gallagher and Vaughn Gallagher, all of Butler. They also have seven grandchildren.

Gallagher is retired from Armco, where he worked as an electrician in the processing maintenance department. He enjoys bowling and lawn bowling.

Mrs. Gallagher is a homemaker. She enjoys bowling, crafts and spending winters in Sun City, Ariz.
