1:44 p.m. Friday — A Peterbilt truck driven by Adam Pastorek, 23, of Carnegie, Allegheny County, and a car driven by Deborah Bailey, 48, of Harrisville collided at East Jefferson and Kittanning streets. Bailey, who was wearing a seat belt, was treated for minor injuries at Butler Memorial Hospital.12:41 a.m. Friday — Chad Helgert, 33, of Sarver was arrested for driving under the influence on 11th Avenue. Helgert was also cited for driving too fast for conditions.
2 a.m. Saturday — Randy Scott, 38, of Butler was arrested for driving under the influence on Greenwood Drive.
3:15 a.m. Sunday — Thomas Kaplin, 21, of West Sunbury was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his car crashed into several trees along West Sunbury Road in Marion Township. Kaplin, who was not wearing a seat belt, was treated for moderate injuries at Butler Memorial Hospital.5:10 p.m. Saturday — A car driven by Russell Neff, 34, of Hilliards drove into a ditch and struck a tree along Route 58 near Route 308 in Marion Township.9:42 a.m. Saturday — Amber Perrine, 22, of Slippery Rock was charged with resisting arrest for allegedly struggling with troopers at a Maple Manor Trailer Court home in Slippery Rock Township. Officers had gone to the home seeking Perinne, who was wanted on an arrest warrant for theft of leased property stemming from an earlier case.Perrine was arraigned on charges stemming from the warrant as well as the new resisting arrest charges; she was placed in the Butler County Prison on $30,000 bond.Saturday — Tools were stolen from a garage at the Kiester Road home of Carl Kaplin in Cherry Township. The theft occurred between Dec. 6 and Saturday.5:30 a.m. Saturday — Richard Wise, 45, of Chicora was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after his vehicle wrecked on Stein Road in Chicora. He was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.2:35 a.m. Saturday — Jeffrey Drane, 37, of Natrona Heights was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a traffic stop on Route 228 in Buffalo Township.11:50 p.m. Friday — A car driven by a 17-year-old Ellwood City female struck a guardrail on Interstate 79 on Jackson Township before it collided with a pickup truck driven by Navaradnam Karunanithi, 32, of Ontario, Canada. The 17-year-old driver and two of her passengers, a 16-year-old female and another 17-year-old female were taken to Allegheny General Hospital by Harmony EMS for treatment of minor injuries. The driver and the 16-year-old were not wearing seat belts. The second 17-year-old was wearing a seat belt. A third passenger, a third 17-year-old female, and the truck driver, both of whom were wearing seat belts, were not injured. The Harmony Volunteer Fire Department and Jackson Township Police Department assisted.2:40 a.m. Dec. 30 — Christopher Rockenstein, 34, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of DUI at Fourth Avenue and Pillow Street in Butler
Friday — Jermaine McCray, 24, of Kittanning was arrested for the Dec. 12 burglary of a Church Road home in North Buffalo, Armstrong County. Police said unopened and wrapped Christmas presents, jewelry and a rifle were taken in the break-in.McCray was arraigned on burglary, theft and other charges, and placed in the Armstrong County Jail. Police noted that charges in the case are also pending against a 17-year-old, who they did not identify.
4:10 p.m. Sunday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Erin Bradel, 20, of Rochester, Beaver County, struck two deer on Route 258 near Amsterdam Road in Springfield Township, Mercer County.
