BC3 hoops swept by Potomac State
KEYSER W.Va. — The Butler County Community College basketball teams were defeated Monday by Potomac State.
The women suffered a 77-43 loss, despite a double-double from Erica Shulthesis with 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Casey Fleeger had 12 points and five assists for the Pioneers, while Emily Wise tallied a team-high 13 points. Karyn Lawson pulled down 10 boards, while Heather Cooper had eight.
The BC3 women shot just 15 for 66 (22.7 percent) from the floor.
Antawane Davis scored a team-high 21 points in a 109-81 setback for the men.
Alex McDeavitt added 20 points, while John Tyler recorded 13 points, eight rebounds and four assists. William Smith hauled in 11 rebounds and Corey Miller chipped in with four assists.
