Troy Jay Hallam
Troy Jay Hallam, 34, and his 22-month-old daughter, Hailey Marie Hallam, died Friday evening as a result of injuries suffered in an automobile accident on Interstate 79 in Mercer County. The family lived in the Rosslyn Farms community near Pittsburgh.
Born in Waynesburg, Troy was a son of Bradley and Pamela Calleas Hallam of Burgettstown.
He attended the Pleasant Hill Wesleyan Methodist Academy in Hookstown.
At a young age, Troy began working in the family construction business, where he managed worksite crews at the age of 16. He currently owned and operated Hallam Contracting and also had worked at one time for his father-in-law as a store supervisor at Sparkle Markets.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Jennifer Todd Hallam. The couple married Oct. 11, 2008, in Pittsburgh, and on Oct. 9, 2009, they welcomed their daughter, Hailey Marie.
In addition to her mother and paternal grandparents, Hailey is survived by her maternal grandparents Gordon and Charlotte Todd of East Liverpool.
Troy also leaves a sister, Susanna Zeigler and her husband, Reuben, of Edinburg, Ohio; a brother, Michael Hallam and his wife, Danette, of Hookstown, as well as his maternal grandparents, Robert and Jean Calleas of Lake Havasu, Ariz. There are also six nieces and nephews, Michael, Travis and Heidi Hallam and Ryan, Lucas and Samuel Zeigler.
Troy's brother, Todd Hallam, preceded him in death.
