The Eagle is planning a home decorating story and would like to hear how you have recycled unlikely items for decoration inside the home. This could mean anything from making a planter from a car part to making a chair from things found in nature. LYNDORA — The Tanglewood Center, 10 Austin Ave., will sponsor a public bus trip March 16 to Presque Isle Casino. The bus leaves the Center at 9:30 a.m. and loads for the return trip at 6 p.m. Call 724-287-0021 or sign up by March 9 at the Center.

BUTLER TWP — Lifesteps' Child Check team will conduct free screenings for children from birth to age 5 from 9 a.m. to noon March 7 at the Butler YMCA, 339 N. Washington St., and from 8 a.m. to noon March 21 at Lifesteps, 383 New Castle Road.Visits take about 30 minutes and results are discussed immediately. The screening looks at the child's development in the areas of playing, talking, seeing, hearing, moving and thinking. Appointments are recommended but not required. VNA of Western Pennsylvania will host a trip April 16 to the Vera Bradley tent sale in Ft. Wayne, Ind.The travel coach departs at 5:30 a.m. from Butler County and is scheduled to arrive by 11 a.m. The coach leaves at 2 p.m. and returns home by 8 p.m.Tickets are $80 per person with proceeds benefiting the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
