Franko 60th anniversary
Frank and Glenna Franko of Butler celebrated 60 years of marriage with a family dinner at the Haven at North Main Street Church of God.
Franko married the former Glenna Gates on Sept. 30, 1952, at St. John Byzantine Catholic Church in Lyndora.
They have six children, William Franko of Pittsburgh, Patricia Saeler of Chicora, Nadine Shingleton of Slippery Rock, Frederick Franko of Denver, Alan Franko of Butler and Gary Franko of Pittsburgh.
They also have 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Franko is a retired postal clerk and civil service examiner.
He is a member of St. John Byzantine Catholic Church, where he is an usher and in charge of the food bank.
Mrs. Franko is retired from Lifesteps as a registered nurse.
She is a member of North Main Street Church of God, Butler Memorial Hospital Nurses Alumni and Christian Women’s Club.
