The Lifesteps’ Child Check team will conduct free screenings in April for children from birth to age 5:

9 to 11:30 a.m. April 4, Butler YMCA, 339 N. Washington St.

9 a.m. to noon April 18, Lifesteps Butler County Program Center, 383 New Castle Road

A Child Check visit takes about 30 minutes and the results are discussed immediately with the parents.

The screening evaluates the child’s development in playing, talking, seeing, hearing, moving and thinking.
