Callihan nets 21 as Karns City girls win

Haley Callihan scored 21 points as the Karns City High School girls basketball team shook off a poor first half with a prodigious scoring run in the final 16 minutes for a 61-37 win over DuBois Central Catholic Saturday.

The Gremlins (9-6) trailed 22-14 at the break, but rolled off 47 points in the second half to blow the game away.

Callihan also had six assists for Karns City.

- Annie Hickman had a big day. The Falcons had a big collapse.

Despite 27 points and 25 rebounds from Hickman, A-C Valley squandered a 21-5 lead after the first quarter and were outscored 28-10 in the second half in a loss.
