Samuel Darl Morrison, of Worthington, passed away after a wonderful life on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2023.

Born Oct. 11, 1936, he was the son of the late Samuel and Ada (Bowser) Morrison.

Darl was a 1955 graduate of Redbank Valley, where he made many lifelong friends.

He retired after 40+ years as the general superintendent of Glacial Sand and Gravel.

He is survived by his loving wife, Marian, whom he married on April 28, 1956.

He is also survived by his daughter, Terri (Jim) of Parker; his son, Douglas (Laurie) of Orlando, Fla.; his granddaughter, Lynzee (Brett) of Louisville, Ky.; his grandson, Justin (Jillian) of Oviedo, Fla.; and his great-grandsons, Parker, Griffin, Zeke and Ori.

Also surviving are his brothers, Dave (Elaine), Ralph (Kathy), and Larry (Judy); and his sister, Vickie.

Darl was a member of the Masonic Lodge 521, the Syria Shriners, the Worthington Lions and the Kittanning Elks. He was also an active member of the Worthington Presbyterian Church.

He was a terrific role model, both personally and professionally to his children and grandchildren. He was an avid music lover, who also loved a good round of golf. However, his greatest love was spending time with his family and friends.

MORRISON — There will be no visitation for Samuel Darl Morrison, who died Sunday, Feb. 26, 2023.

A celebration of life will be held at a future date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to F. DUANE SNYDER FUNERAL HOME in Worthington.

Donations in Darl’s memory may be made to a church of the donor’s choice or to the American Cancer Society.
