Edna R. Kroll, 87, of Middlesex Township, Valencia, died Sunday in the Valencia Woods Nursing Center.

Born April 4, 1923, in Hempfield Township, Westmoreland County, she was the daughter of the late Ralph J. and Retta A. (Cook) Butler.

Edna was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown and the Southern Butler County Women's Club.

She loved to cook, bake and garden.

She was the beloved wife of the late Roy W. Kroll, who died May 22, 1995. She also was preceded in death by one brother, Orval B. Butler and one sister, Audrey Rihn.

Mrs. Kroll was the loving mother of Ralph W. (Pamela) Kroll of Middlesex Township and Carol L. (Fred) Simonds of Economy; sister of Dale V. Butler of Akron, Ohio, and Dallas L. Butler of Dallas, Texas; grandmother of Shelly Kroll of Indianapolis, Ind., Bradley W. (Jesse) Kroll of Butler, the Rev. Mark (PJ) Simonds of Oakdale and Kara L. Simonds of Beaver Falls; great-grandmother of Lane, Hunter, James, Arielle, Gabriel and Torah; aunt of Kathleen Kummer and Karen Parker; and great-aunt to Audra, Randel and Jessica.

Kroll, who died Sunday, Nov. 14, 2010, will welcome friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at <B>Schellhaas Funeral Home</B>, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown. Services will follow at 11 a.m. Friday with Edna’s grandson, the Rev. Mark R. Simonds, officiating.
