Rev. Stephen Eberle

The Rev. Stephen Eberle, 66, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2007.

His wife is the former Dolores Barkey. The couple was married 45 years this past August, and she survives.

He was born in Warsaw, N.Y., son of the late Michael and Virginia Bathrick Eberle.

He was ordained in the First Baptist Church of Evans City and pastored the Grace Brethren Church in Butler and the Calvary Bible Church in Grove City. He was employed at Cooper Bessemer in Grove City for 9Z\x years.

A 1982 graduate of the Baptist Bible College, he conducted services for 21 years for the residents of the former Carpenter Care Nursing Facility in Tunkhannock. He was a member at the Summit Baptist Bible Church in Clarks Summit.

He was employed by Pyne Trucking in Taylor.

Also surviving are three sons, Stephen Mark of Factoryville, Timothy Paul of Royersford and Daniel James of Cazenovia, N.Y.; a daughter, Deborah Hernandez of Fayetteville, Ga.; a brother, Paul of Flemington, N.J.; two sisters, Lucille Rondeau of Ft. Wayne, Ind., and Nancy Werner of Warsaw, N.Y.; nine grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was at the Summit Baptist Bible Church, conducted by the Rev. Mark Schimitz. He was buried in Clarks Green Cemetery.
