Moniteau's Markle fans 23 in 10-inning win

Nathan Markle struck out 23 batters in a 10-inning game to spark Moniteau to a 7-6 baseball win over Keystone Monday.

The game began on April 1, but was suspended after five innings before the action resumed Monday.

Travis Shaffer collected two hits and two RBI for the Warriors (5-2, 5-1).

In other action:

Aaron Ordy had four hits and Steve Scott banged out two doubles, but Butler couldn't overcome 10 errors and nine unearned runs in a 10-7 loss to North Hills.

Jimmy McCaslin also doubled and singled for the Golden Tornado (1-8).

Grove City (5-2, 3-0) received four home runs, one each from Jesse Alfreno, Beau Fisher, Brandon Jones and Dan Keil as the Eagles manhandled Hickory 16-6 in five innings.
