Seneca Valley graduate Steve Minton rushed for 88 yards and two touchdowns as Thiel College toppled Waynesburg College 35-28 in double overtime Saturday afternoon.

Minton now has scored 16 touchdowns this season for the Tomcats.

Thiel (6-0) is undefeated for the first time at this stage of the season since 1969.

Slippery Rock University's Jesse Weiss placed 11th at the Penn State Invitational Saturday with a time of 25 minutes, 40 seconds.The Rock placed 16th overall at the invitational.

Glenn Reepmeyer blocked 24 shots and also had two steals as the Slippery Rock University men won beat Gannon 10-7 Saturday at Morrow Field House for their 11th straight win.Oliver Horrigan led The Rock with three goals and four steals.Aaron Chapple added two goals, three assists and one steal for SRU (17-3), which is ranked 10th in the Collegiate Water Polo Association regional poll.

Mallory Neubert scored two goals as Slippery Rock University beat Clarion 3-1 Saturday.Sarah Mangiarelli added The Rock's other goal.Jen McCormick had seven saved in goal for SRU (8-4-2 overall, 5-1-2 in the PSAC-West).

Justin Hollm scored the go-ahead goal to lead The Rock to a 2-1 win over Shippensburg Saturday.Shaun Reid scored the first goal for The Rock (9-6-1, 8-4-1).

Tawnie Osborne had 14 assists and nine digs and Autumn Burk added nine kills and eight digs as Butler County Community College beat Harrisburg 30-17, 30-15, 30-18 in the Pennsylvania Collegiate Athletic Association championship.Krista Ebner added 10 kills, Britanny Beatty 16 had assists, Stephanie Lawson had 17 digs and Heather Hartman had five kills for the Pioneers (28-7).BCCC won its fourth-straight state championship.Burke and Edner both were named to the all-state team.
