LAUREN PENNELL (Seneca Valley), a freshman on the Grove City College softball team, earned second-team All-Central Region honors for the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. Pennell batted. 417 and set a new Wolverines record with 45 hits in one season. She also led the team with 63 total bases, a. 583 slugging percentage and led the PACwith a school-record 18 doubles. As a pitcher, her 23 appearance set another school record, tossing 17 complete games, including four shutouts. She finished with a 6-15 record, a 3.63 ERA and 82 strikeouts.
