Bernard and Madeline Carbin of Butler celebrated 60 years of marriage with a family dinner at their home.

The former Madeline Maloney married Carbin on June 6, 1945 at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler.

They have four children, Beverly Hanratty, Bernard Carbin Jr., Sharon Tipton and Michelle McKain, all of Butler.

They also have 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Carbin retired from Pullman Standard in 1981. A veteran of the Air Force, the couple was stationed in several locations around the world.

Mrs. Carbin is a homemaker.

The couple belongs to St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.
