3:15 a.m. Sunday — A car driven by David H. Bowser II, 19, of Oil City, Venango County, struck a guardrail on Interstate 79 in Worth Township. Police said Bowser was cited for a lane violation.12:24 a.m. — Ryan Homer, 22, of Sharpsville, Mercer County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his vehicle collided with a Slippery Rock police car on Elm Street in Slippery Rock.Capt. Terry Brown of the borough police department was driving the cruiser; no injuries were reported.4:02 p.m. Saturday — Dayton Strawser, no age given, of Parker was injured after he ran over several hay bales and lost control of the pickup truck he was driving on Route 38 at the Hunter's Truck Center in Summit Township.Police said the bales of hay had fallen off another pickup driven by Kelly Dittmer, no age given, of Herman.Strawser suffered minor injuries when his pickup struck a utility pole and fence along the road. Police said Dittmer was cited for not securing her load.11:30 a.m. Saturday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Deanna Lee Turner, 39, of Cabot struck a deer on Dinnerbell Road, about one mile east of Route 8 in Penn Township.1:30 a.m. Saturday — An unknown thief stole a Pittsburgh Steelers jersey from a Cameron Street apartment in Slippery Rock.5:35 p.m. Friday — Nichole Kauf, 28, of Hilliards was arrested for suspicion of DUI after a two-car crash on Route 308 in Cherry Township. Police said the crashed occurred when Kauf's car crossed the centerline and struck another car driven by Stephanie Howard, 21, of Hilliards.Tuesday — An unknown thief stole a Dewalt buffer, valued at $300, and a catalytic converter, valued at $100, from a vehicle at Penn Tire on Route 8 n Penn Township.
12:22 p.m. Saturday — Four people were hurt in a two-vehicle crash at Main and Walnut streets.Police said the crash occurred when a minivan driven by Brandon Geyer, 25, of Renfrew and a car driven by Angela Viertel, 40, of Parker collided at the intersection.Geyer and three passengers in his vehicle were treated for undisclosed injuries at Butler Memorial Hospital. The names of the passengers were not available this morning.7:41 p.m. Friday — Arthur W. Vogel, 48, of Center Township was arrested for driving under the influence after his pickup truck struck a light pole at the Sunoco/A-Plus Mini Mart on West Jefferson Street. Police said Vogel was also cited for careless driving.
9:45 p.m. Friday — Melinda Christy, 35, of Kittanning was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after her car struck several lawn ornaments at the Glade Run Road home of Richard and Mary Cousins in North Buffalo Township.
7:05 a.m. Friday — A car driven by Jennifer Davis, 23, and a pickup truck driven by Desmond Johnson, 23, both of Mercer, collided at Routes 208 and 258 in Springfield Township. Police said Davis, who suffered minor injuries, was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
