Police Reports

The following items have been collected from various police departments and district courts:

Butler City

Jan. 30 — Bella R. Burk, 24, of Grove City, was charged with two misdemeanor counts of use and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said she was found in possession of crystal methamphetamine and two glass smoking pipes.

Jan. 30 — Brian J. Lieberum, 28, of Bruin, was charged with felonies strangulation and endangering welfare of children and misdemeanor simple assault. Police said he punched someone and threw a car seat to the ground with a child in it.

Butler Twp

Jan. 28 — Gregg Collins, 60, of Butler, and Susan Self, 20, of Prospect, were involved in a two vehicle crash on Route 422. Police said Collins filed to yield to traffic and struck Self’s vehicle.

Jan. 27 — Jasmine Whitely, 33, Kiley Ekas, 39, and Jennifer Daniels-Wells, 45, all of Butler, were involved in a vehicle crash at the Butler Commons plaza. Police said Whitely failed to yield to traffic and struck Ekas’ vehicle, which struck Daniels-Wells’ vehicle.

State police, Butler

Jan. 30 — Anthony E. Kelly, 25, of New Castle, was charged with six misdemeanor driving under the influence offenses and use and possession of drug paraphernalia after police said they stopped him Dec. 29 on Route 8 in Butler Township. Police said field sobriety tests showed he was impaired, and a later blood test showed traces of methamphetamine and THC in his blood. A vape pen, multicolored tablets and ecstasy were found in his vehicle, police said. Kelly’s blood-alcohol content was 0.09%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.

Jan. 30 — Neal D. Jackson, 46, of Butler, was charged with two misdemeanor DUIs after police said they stopped him Jan. 28 on Hall Road, Brady Township. Police said field sobriety tests showed he was impaired, and a later breath test showed Jackson’s blood-alcohol content at 0.187%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.

Jan. 30 — Shawn P. Jacobs Jr., 24, of Ellwood City, was charged with a misdemeanor DUI after police said they stopped him Dec. 31 on Lilac Lane, Brady Township. Police said he showed signs of impairment.

Jan. 27 — Thomas J. Rodgers, 56, of East Butler, was charged with misdemeanors DUI and driving with a suspended license after police said they stopped him Dec. 25 on Butler Street in Saxonburg. Police said he showed signs of impairment, and it was determined he was under the influence of narcotics.

Jan. 27 — Melissa J. Crawford, 49, of Sarver, was charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct after police said they stopped her Dec. 25 in Saxonburg. Police said she disobeyed officers orders during the stop.

Jan. 27 — Micah E. Zeigler, 40, of Zelienople, was charged with misdemeanors DUI and use and possession of drug paraphernalia, and Danielle L. Rearick, 40, of Evans City, was charged with three misdemeanor counts of use and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said they stopped them Dec. 13 on Airport Road, Penn Township. Police said Zeigler showed signs of impairment and that traces of cocaine, methadone, morphine, xylazine, gabapentin and fentanyl were in his blood. Police said Rearick was found in possession of a white rock substance and glass smoking pipe.

State police, Kittanning

Jan. 27 — Shawn E. Hart, 53, of Jeannette, Pa., was charged with misdemeanors DUI, driving with a suspended license and drug possession after police said they stopped him Nov. 15, 2022, on Route 356, Buffalo Township. Police said field sobriety tests showed he was impaired and that his breath tested positive for alcohol. Police also found a marijuana cigarette in his vehicle.
