Patrick Edward Stone, 66, of Butler passed away at 6:10 p.m. Sunday at the Cleveland Clinic.

He was born Oct. 9, 1942, in Argentine, Washington Township, the son of the late Richard Stone and the late Madlyn (Stillwagon) Stone.

He was a Roman Catholic.

He had attended Rutgers University and Slippery Rock University.

He was retired from AK Steel, where he was a supervisor for environmental control.

He enjoyed NASCAR, dirt track racing, hunting and fishing.

Surviving are his wife, Ruth L. (Gardner) Stone, who he married Sept. 1, 1962; three sons, Patrick E. (Sharon) Stone Jr. of Butler, Steven R. Stone of Orlando, Fla., and Keith (Deidre) Stone of York, Pa.; five grandchildren, Kody, Katie, Tyler, Nikki and Shane Stone; two sisters, Mona (William) Clouse of California and Sue Stone of Butler; and a brother, Albert (Rachel) Stone of Napa, Idaho.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Ruth Elliott; an infant sister; and a brother.

<B>STONE</B> — Friends of Patrick Edward Stone, who died Sunday, July 5, 2009, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler. Blessing and funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Father Stephen Neff of the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church and the Rev.
