4 p.m. Thursday — Ronda Schaffer, 35, of Butler was arrested for driving under the influence after a hit-and-run crash at South Main Street and Pittsburgh Road.Schaffer was driving a sport utility vehicle that struck the rear of a car driven by Bernard Dowd, 62, of Butler. Police said Schaffer drove off after the crash. She is charged with DUI and accidents involving damage to an attended vehicle.

5:30 p.m. Sunday — Robert Wellner, 79, of Butler was arrested for driving under the influence and other traffic offenses following a hit-and-run crash at New Castle and Evans City roads.The crash occurred when Wellner's vehicle struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Michael Benedek, 32, of Valencia. The collision pushed Benedek's vehicle into the rear of a vehicle driven by Bradley Edwards, 52, of Butler.Wellner, who drove off after the crash, police said, was later treated for minor injuries at Butler Memorial Hospital. In addition to DUI, he is charged with accidents involving damage to an attended vehicle, failure to give information and render aid after an accident, and driving too fast for conditions.8:24 p.m. Friday — Justin Enslen, 18, of Butler was arrested for driving under the influence and other charges after he was stopped running a red light on North Main Street Extension and making a left turn in front of an oncoming unmarked township police cruiser.Police stopped Enslen in Bon Aire and learned he was wanted by the Butler County juvenile probation office for allegedly cutting off his electronic monitoring device and leaving home.In addition to DUI, he faces charges of underage drinking, minor operating a vehicle with alcohol in his system, failing to stop at a red light, making an illegal left turn and careless driving.

5:57 p.m. Monday — A car driven by Tamara Turner, 33, no address given, struck a guardrail and traveled down into a median. Turner, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries. Police said the crash occurred when Turner fell asleep at the wheel.8:42 p.m. Thursday — Timmy Burns, 42, of Harrisville was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his sport utility vehicle struck two utility poles along Route 308 in Cherry Township. Burns, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered moderate injuries.9:45 p.m. Nov. 22 — A car driven by Mobusher Mahmud, 31, of Allentown, Lehigh County, skidded off ice-covered Interstate 79 in Lancaster Township and struck an embankment.4:10 p.m. Nov. 14 — A sport utility vehicle driven by Amanda Dillman, 20, of Portersville struck an embankment and rolled over on Route 488 near Kern Road in Muddy Creek Township. Dillman and a passenger, Dan Dillman, 17, of Portersville, both wearing seat belts, suffered minor injuries.

12:54 p.m. Thursday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Pamela Rowan, 22, of Tarentum, Allegheny County, crashed into a guardrail along Route 28 in Buffalo Township, Butler County. Rowan was cited for driving too fast for conditions and failing to produce a driver's license.

9:40 a.m. Monday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Joy Trunzo, 55, of Brockway, Jefferson County, struck a deer on Route 28 in South Buffalo Township, Armstrong County.1:12 a.m. Sunday — Michele Jaworski, 34, of Ford City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 28 in Buffalo Township, Butler County.11:10 p.m. Saturday — Terry Helfrich-Curboy, 37, of Saxonburg was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Main Street in Saxonburg, Butler County.

2:35 a.m. Thursday — David R. Miller, 43, of Grove City was arrested for driving under the influence after his car crashed into a ditch on Charleston Road in Jefferson Township, Mercer County.
