Paul and Nancy Bard

Paul and Nancy Bard of Strattanville celebrated 50 years of marriage by going on an Alaskan cruise.

Bard married the former Nancy Schidemantle on Oct. 8, 1960, in Winchester, Va.

They have three children, Tracy Bard of Wesley Chapel, Fla., Jon Bard of Butler and David Bard of Chicora.

They also have four grandchildren.

Bard is a retired Pennsylvania State Trooper. He worked for more than 30 years at Butler Barracks Troop D.Mrs. Bard is a retired registered nurse. She worked for more than 35 years in the emergency room at Butler Memorial Hospital. She has volunteered for 40 years as a nurse at the Pennsylvania State Police's Camp Cadet.
