10 a.m. Monday - A Butler Area Rural Transit bus driven by William Greenawalt, 64, of 1121 Center Ave. struck a pickup truck driven by Kimberly Scheller, 19, of West Sunbury on Mercer Street.
10 a.m. April 28 - Cars driven by Mary Bickley, 49, of Zelienople and Paul Winn, 23, of Butler collided at Route 8 and Route 228 East. Winn was treated for moderate injuries at Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh and released.April 26 - A push lawnmower was found on Park Road. The owner can claim the mower by calling police at 724-898-3533.
2:05 p.m. Wednesday - An unidentified maroon, 1980s model pickup truck struck a sport utility vehicle at Crestview and Stoughton roads in Slippery Rock Township and did not stop following the crash. Veronica Atwell, 41, of Slippery Rock, who was driving the SUV, suffered minor injuries.Wednesday - Police are investigating burglaries at two businesses on Route 422 East in Clearfield Township.The burglaries occurred overnight at the Rocky Cove Garden Center and the Lick-N-Putt. Police did not indicate if any property was taken in the break-ins. Anyone with information about the cases is asked to call the barracks at 724-284-8100.Wednesday - Sean Yannotti, 22, of 216 N. Elm St., Apt. 1, Butler was charged with forgery stemming from a March 18 incident at Bank Pittsburgh on North Main Street in Butler. Yannotti was arraigned and placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $1,000.1 p.m. Tuesday - A mini-van driven by Bobbie Jo Schearer, 35, of Cabot and a sport utility vehicle driven by Dannee Boulanger, 46, of Butler collided on Cornplanter Road in Winfield Township.Tuesday - A number of compact discs and a cell phone charger were taken from a car at the Sunbury Street home of Jeffrey Keller in Fairview.1:05 a.m. Monday - A van driven by Andrew Fuchs, no age given, of Slippery Rock struck a road sign and wooden retaining wall before rolling onto its side on Route 8 near Shields Road in Mercer Township. The crash apparently occurred when Fuchs fell asleep at the wheel.Monday - Undisclosed property was damaged in a burglary at a Hoot Owl Road mobile home in Connoquenessing Township. Robert Geisler of McKees Rocks, Allegheny County owns the home.
9:19 a.m. Wednesday - Jeremy Best, 24, of Hilliards was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after nearly striking three workers and crashing into a parked truck in a construction zone on Interstate 80 in Lackawannock Township, Mercer County. Best faces additional charges of reckless endangerment, reckless driving, careless driving and failing to stay in his lane of traffic.6:02 p.m. Tuesday - Fifteen illegal immigrants were found in a vehicle stopped for an undisclosed traffic violation on Interstate 80 in Barkeyville, Venango County. Police said the immigrants were traveling from Los Angeles to New York.The suspects were turned over to the custody of federal immigration and customs enforcement authorities. Police said the driver, who was not identified, faces federal smuggling charges.12:15 a.m. April 29 - Dean David Jackson, 19, of Parkersburg, W.Va., was arrested following a disturbance at the Super 8 Motel on Route 208 in Springfield Township, Mercer County. Police said Jackson allegedly smashed a glass casing holding a fire extinguisher.Jackson was arraigned on charges of criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, public drunkenness, underage drinking and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was placed in the Mercer County Jail following arraignment.
