10:26 p.m. Friday - Robert Rapp II, 36, of 434 W. New Castle St., Apt. 23, was arrested for driving under the influence on East Jefferson Street.
8:40 p.m. Tuesday - Robert Gamble, 20, of Butler was arrested after allegedly leading police on a high-speed chase while riding a motorcycle through Butler.The chase began when patrol officers tried to stop Gamble on West Penn Street for a suspected vehicle registration violation. The suspect, however, sped away on his 2004 Suzuki, traveling east on Penn Street, then west on Brady Street, and failing to stop at several stop signs.The chase came to an end when Gamble lost control of his motorcycle while rounding a bend and struck a guardrail on Mercer Street just into Butler Township. The suspect, who was wearing a helmet, suffered minor injuries.He is charged with fleeing to attempt to elude police, driving with a suspended license, reckless endangerment, reckless driving and several other traffic violations.1:35 a.m. Tuesday - Brent McLafferty, 25, of Center Township was arrested for driving under the influence at Route 68 and Kriess Road in Connoquenessing Township.Tuesday - Several tools were taken between 3:15 p.m. Monday and 6:55 a.m. Tuesday in a burglary at the Worth Township Road Department building on West Park Road.3:30 p.m. Monday - Vehicles driven by John Benko, 24, and Jacqueline Slupe, 48, both of Butler, collided on Route 8 near Ghost Riders in Center Township.Monday - William Barr said someone Sunday or Monday broke into his Branchton Road home in Slippery Rock Township and took a wallet.3:10 a.m. Sunday - Mandy Jo Northime, 25, of Chicora was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Kittanning Street in Chicora.3:30 a.m. Saturday - Zachary Knoch, 22, of Oakland Township was arrested for driving under the influence after his pickup truck struck an embankment and flipped onto its roof.4 a.m. June 11 - A pickup truck driven by Dennis Patterson, 46, of Cabot struck a mailbox along Winfield Road in Winfield Township and did not stop following the crash. Police later identified the driver as Patterson, who faces hit-and-run related charges.
5:20 p.m. Tuesday - William Edward McBride Jr., no age given, of Grove City was arrested for simple assault and harassment following a domestic dispute at a Jamison Road home in Worth Township, Mercer County. McBride is accused of assaulting Jodi Spagon, no age given, of Grove City.
