SLIPPERY ROCK — The Slippery Rock Community Farmers’ Market is seeking vendors and volunteers for the 2016 season, which will open May 7 and continue into October.

An organizational meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m., Thursday at the Ginger Hill Unitarian Congregation’s building, 174 S. Main St.

Current and prospective vendors and those who want to volunteer or support the market can attend.

The market is on Saturday mornings beside Slippery Rock Creek in Rock Falls Park off Route 173 south of Slippery Rock and features locally grown and produced items. Included are garden plants, seasonal vegetables, fruits and flowers, grass-finished beef, baked goods, natural body care products, and unique, handcrafted items.
