Snider 50th anniversary
Bob and Barb Snider of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage with a luncheon for family and friends at the Butler Country Club July 5, hosted by their children.
Snider married the former Barbara Horne June 9, 1965, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Butler.
They have four children, Becky (Jason) Terwilliger of Butler, Brenda (Ed) Friel of Cranberry Township, Stephen Snider of Butler and Tracy (Nathan) Steadman of Butler.
They also have seven grandchildren.
Snider was a bricklayer in the melt shop of Armco Steelworks and retired in 2000 after 35 years.
He is member of Oakview Golf Club. He stays active playing golf and tennis.
Mrs. Snider was a medical records clerk at Irene Stacy Mental Health Center and retired in 2010 after 25 years.
She enjoys reading, gardening and also playing tennis.
The Sniders enjoy spending their winters at their home in North Port, Fla., where they are members of the LaCasa Tennis Team and participate in numerous community activities.
They attend Community Alliance Church in Butler.
