Mary Jane Anderson Barnhart
Mary Jane Anderson Barnhart, 83, of La Habra, Calif., died Dec. 20 at Quality Care in Whittier.
Born June 5, 1923, in Penn Township, she was the daughter of George Martin Anderson and Ruth Catherine Maharg Anderson.
She was a graduate of Butler Business College. She was a member of the La Habra Hills Presbyterian Church, where she sang in the choir and played handbells. She worked in the Business Office of the East Whittier City School District for 25 years.
She is survived by her husband, Howard D. Barnhart; four children, Richard D. Barnhart of Whittier, Calif., Doris E. Barnhart of La Habra, Calif., Joyce L. Barnhart of La Habra, Calif., and Kathleen D. Moon and husband, Benjamin, of Oak Ridge, Tenn; a grandson, Colin C. McLeod and his wife, Sandra; and three great-grandchildren, Kaitlin, Jenna and Aidan, of Knoxville, Tenn. Survivors also include a brother, William Paul Anderson and his wife, Barbara, of State College; two sisters-in-law, Evelyn Anderson of Erie and Grace Anderson of Butler; and a niece and five nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers.
<B>BARNHART</B>— Burial for Mary Jane Anderson Barnhart, who died Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2006, will be private at Memory Garden Memorial Park and Mortuary, Brea, Calif. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Jan. 6 at La Habra Hills Presbyterian Church, 951 N. Idaho Street, La Habra, Calif.
