Besma Hartman, 86, of Zelienople died Saturday at the Passavant Retirement Community.

Born Jan. 28, 1923, in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Margaret (Rocker) Toney.

Mrs. Hartman enjoyed collecting angels, cookbooks and salt and pepper shakers.

She is survived by her husband, Robert L. Hartman, whom she married Jan. 8, 1960; two daughters, Margaret "Peg" Nestor (Arthur) of Harmony and Carol Jean Iman of Zelienople; a son, Robert C. Hartman (Karilyn) of White Bluff, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Candace Bromley (Jim) of Arizona, Rebecca Yalcin (Kaplan) of Oregon and Michelle and Anthony Iman of Zelienople; two great-granddaughters, Ashley and Kara Bromley; three brothers, Thomas Toney (Dorothy) of Beaver Falls, Samuel Toney (Shirley) of Baden and Joseph Toney (Mary) of California; and a sister, Selma Spolarich of Sun City, Fla.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

<B>HARTMAN</B> — Friends of Besma Hartman, who died Saturday, June 20, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the <B>Boylan Funeral Home, Inc.</B>, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert A. Keplinger, pastor of English Lutheran Church, officiating.
