11:15 a.m. Tuesday — Brooke Donelson, 22, of Butler was arrested for allegedly shoplifting $158 in merchandise from the JoAnn Fabrics and Family Dollar stores at Pullman Plaza. Donelson is charged with retail theft.7:58 p.m. Monday — Acar driven by Joshua Stutz, 18, of Summit Township and a pickup truck driven by David Bigler, 42, of Oakland Township collided on ice-and-snow-covered Pillow Street. Police said Stutz was cited for driving too fast for conditions.8:29 a.m. Thursday — ABMW750 LIdriven by Francis Ferraro, 52, of Pittsburgh was destroyed by fire on Mercer Street.Ferraro told police that he was northbound when he noticed smoke coming from the car's air ducts. He stopped the car and checked under the hood but found no fire.When he walked to the passenger side, according to a police report, he noticed a small fire under the dash of the passenger compartment. The car was engulfed by fire by the time police and firefighters arrived.The police report noted that Ferraro was driven by private vehicle to Butler Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries.

8:59 p.m. Monday — Snow and ice on the road were blamed for a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township. Police said no one was injured but provided no details about the crash that involved a tractor-trailer driven by Allen Schardt, 44, ofMeyersdale, Somerset County; and cars driven by Chris Lacava, 19, and Howard Bose, 44, both of Pittsburgh.8:31 p.m. Monday — An unknown driver in an unidentified vehicle struck a utility pole along Carbon Center Road in Summit Township, and drove off after the crash.5:33 p.m. Monday — A16-year-old Chicora boy, who police did not identify, was cited for driving too fast for conditions after his sport utility vehicle crashed into a tree at Route 38 and Blair Road in Washington Township.3:07 p.m. Monday — An SUVdriven by Saundra Judge, no age given and address unknown, struck an embankment and overturned on Boyers Road near Wick Road in Mercer Township. Police said Judge was cited for an undisclosed traffic violation.

7:30 p.m. Monday — Aminivan driven by Joshua McNamara, 17, of Stoneboro slid off snow-covered Route 173 and crashed into an embankment and ditch near Elliot Road in Wolf Creek Township.

Nov. 14 — Matthew Scarito, 25, of Slippery Rock was charged with retail theft after placing multiple orders at Sheetz on Main Street and leaving without paying for the food. He was also charged with a drug violation with possession of controlled substances.Nov. 15 — Nathaniel C. Dine, 21, of Pittsburgh was charged with a theft that occurred Oct. 31, when he stole a garbage can from the entrance of Sheetz at 1 a.m. Before he stole the garbage can, he purchased food there with a credit card. Police tracked him down and he returned the garbage can.Nov. 15 — Deanna Marie King, 23, of Freeport was charged with drunken driving after she ran a stop sign at 1:50 a.m. at the intersection of Elm Street and Cooper Street.Nov. 16 — Natalie Rose Lohman, 20, of Gibsonia was charged with drunken driving on Kiester Road after she nearly struck a police car head on at 2 a.m.Nov. 17 — Stephen Lee Hawk, 55, of Slippery Rock was charged with drunken driving on New Castle Street at 2 a.m. after his vehicle struck a pole along the road.Nov. 18 — Matthew Patrick Fecik, 24, of West Mifflin was charged with drunken driving on Midway Alley as he drove the wrong way on a one-way street at 1:09 a.m.
