Janet and Norman Rettig of Butler celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a dinner, surrounded by family and friends, at Michaels Restaurant.

The former Janet Doutt married Norman Rettig on March 11, 1944, in Elizabeth City, N.C.

The couple has two children, Carol Fisher of Orlando, Fla., and Robin McKnight of Kissimmee, Fla.

They also have five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Rettig retired as a supervisor in the Cold Mill department at Armco after 37 years.

Mrs. Rettig is a homemaker.

They are members of St. Mark's Lutheran Church and the VFW.
