James and Helen Dinger

James and Helen Dinger of Harrisville will celebrate 50 years of marriage with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at West Unity Community Church Hall, Unity Road, Harrisville. The public is welcome.

Dinger married the former Helen Shaffer on April 23, 1961, at Mt. Joy United Methodist Church.

They have four children, Theresa Johnston of Harrisville, Cathy Young and Robin Leach, both of Kemah, Texas, and James Dinger of Clintonville.

They also have 10 grandchildren.Dinger is a machinist at Pulva Corp. in Saxonburg. He is a veteran of the United States Army.Mrs. Dinger is a homemaker. She is a volunteer at Seneca Hills Bible Camp.The Dingers belong to West Unity Community Church.
