Clarence 'Skip' Mahan
Clarence Dewayne "Skip" Mahan, 77, of Middlesex Township died Tuesday at UPMC Passavant Hospital, McCandless Township.
Born Jan. 5, 1930, in Natrona Heights, he was the son of Clarence John and Effie Schroeder Mahan.
He was gifted in mechanics and had an innate ability to find a purpose for anything.
Mr. Mahan had been a machinist at the U.S. Steel Centering Plant in Saxonburg for years.
He loved camping and traveling.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joann King Mahan, who died Jan. 17, 1979.
Surviving are his children, Glenda Comley of Middlesex Township, Kristin Sawicki of Richland Township, Keith Mahan of Penn Township and Kevin Mahan of Middlesex Township; a brother, Merle Mahan of Richland Township; a dear friend, Mary Lou Hans of Saxonburg; four grandchildren, and three step-grandchildren.
<B>MAHAN </B>— Friends of Clarence Dewayne "Skip" Mahan, who died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>Schellhaas Funeral Home</B>, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown.Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev.
