Margaret A. Broad, 95, of Slippery Rock died at 9:50 p.m. Saturday at her home.

Born Oct. 10, 1914, in Butler County, she was the daughter of the late John Trufley and Anna Kruchar Trufley.

She was a member of St. John's Methodist Church.

She had been employed in the dietary department at Sunnyview.

She was the last surviving member of the Trufley family.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. John (Donna Lee) McCandless of Unionville; two sons, Charles F. and Tillie Broad of Slippery Rock, and Paul E. and Sandra Broad of Slippery Rock; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. "Jack" Broad Jr., who died April 29, 2000; a sister; five brothers; and a grandson.

<B>BROAD</B> — Friends of Margaret A. Broad, who died Saturday, Dec. 26, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Tuesday at the <B>William F. Young Funeral Home</B>, 132 Main St., West Sunbury. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. David Ealy, her pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the West Sunbury Union Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to St. John's Methodist Church, 244 Hallston Road, Slippery Rock, PA 16057.
