The Downings in 1959

L. Wilson and Catherine Downing of East Brady celebrated 50 years of marriage Jan. 24 with a family dinner.

Downing married the former Catherine Olcus on Jan. 24, 1959, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bradys Bend.

They have two children, Joseph Downing of Finleyville and John Downing of San Diego.

They also have two grandchildren.

Downing is retired from working as the maintenance foreman for the Indspec Chemical Co. He enjoys officiating football and basketball games.Mrs. Downing is a homemaker and works as a tipstaff at the Armstrong County Court.The Downings enjoy traveling and are members of the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bradys Bend.
