Anderson 90th birthday
Roy Anderson of Prospect will celebrate his 90th birthday with a celebration at his home on Sunday.
Anderson was born June 14, 1921, in Prospect and has lived his entire life there. He was born to the late Clark and Marie Anderson.
He married Wilma Woessner on Sept. 30, 1940. She is deceased.
He has three children, Kenneth Anderson of Tulsa, Okla., Norma Farinelli of Dennison, Texas, and Ginny Wagner of Prospect, with whom he resides.
He also has nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
He is retired as a mechanic from the Pennsylvania State Police Barracks. He was also employed by John Pizor at Oak Hills Garage and Standard Motors in Butler as a mechanic.
He is a lifelong member of the Prospect Volunteer Fire Department and is a past member of the Prospect Borough Council, Slippery Rock School Board and church council.
He is a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Prospect.
