Knoch rally tops Talbots
Knoch plated five runs in the top of the eighth inning to earn an 11-6 come-from-behind softball victory over Hampton Monday.
The Knights trailed 6-3 before scoring two runs in the sixth and one more in the seventh to tie the game.
Lizz King had a triple and two singles for Knoch while three teammates also smacked triples.
The Knights won only one game last season.
In other action:
• Liz Dorogy doubled and singled, but Seneca Valley fell to CanonMcMillan 6-3.
Dana Hughes and Megan McCormick each doubled for the Raiders in their season opener.
• Sara Vinca collected two hits and struck out nine in six innings in the circle, but Moniteau fell to OilCity 7-2 in the season opener.
