12:29 a.m. Wednesday - Michael Kramer, 41, of Butler was charged with loitering and prowling after police responded to a break-in call at 531 W. New Castle St. After a 13-year-old girl in the house called 911, police saw a man wearing a white tank top and blue pajama-type pants on the street. He fled into 426 W. North St. Police found Kramer there in bed with the same clothes on the floor beside the bed. After claiming to have stayed home all night, Kramer eventually admitted trying to gain entry into the home. He told police he initially thought it was his friend's house.2:30 p.m. Saturday - Winnie Ruth Swain was cited for writing a bad check after police received a complaint from a 40-year-old Butler man. The man told police that Swain wrote him a June 1 check for $160 that couldn't be cashed because of insufficient funds. Swain has a prior conviction for writing bad checks.

June 2 - Andrew Shoop, 18, of Lincoln Avenue was charged with theft of services after he allegedly didn't pay for room rentals in February at the Penn Grove Hotel in Grove City.June 4 - Police found a Pepsi machine at the BP Station, 201 W. Main St., had been broken in to between 9 p.m. June 3 and 2 a.m. June 4. Coins and bills had been stolen. Damage costs and the amount taken are not known.June 15 - The rear window of a 1992 Dodge Caravan owned by Drusilla McCool of Broad Street was smashed between June 13 and June 15 in the lot of College View Towers. Damage is estimated at $400.June 18 - A concession stand at Memorial Park baseball fields was broken into June 17 or 18. It is unknown if anything was taken.June 23 - A 17-year-old boy was charged with theft and criminal mischief after about 50 men's necklaces were taken from a tent at the Strawberry Days Festival between 11 p.m. June 11 and 10:30 a.m. June 12. The total value of the missing necklaces is $270. A $50 tarp was also damaged.Sunday - Someone threw a rock through the second-floor window of the house of David Blair, 220 Valley St., between June 23 and Sunday.11:30 p.m. Monday - A purse owned by Donna Snow was stolen from a vehicle in the 500 block of Bessemer Avenue. A cell phone, checkbook and credit cards were inside the purse.Tuesday - A Delphi Satellite Radio system was taken between midnight and 9:30 a.m. from a vehicle parked in the 100 block of State Street. The system included a radio, base and antenna, is valued at $250. Walter Carson of State Street owns the vehicle.

8:10 a.m. Thursday - A van driven by Andrew Byrd, 18, of Saxonburg was traveling eastbound on Watters Station Road in Forward Township when it went off the road and hit a tree after a tire went flat. Burd, who was wearing a seat belt, wasn't injured.Wednesday - James Lacaze, 58, of Concord Township reported the theft of a Phoenix Arms 22-caliber semi-automatic pistol from his 1026 Mahood Rd. residence between June 20 and 29Wednesday - Joyce Fontaine of Butler reported the theft of an unspecified amount of money from her Spring Run residence.

11 a.m. Wednesday - Police found a bicycle in the woods near Nicklin Road in Pine Township. Anyone who lost a bicycle at that location should call Mercer State Police at 724-662-6162.

Wednesday - Lisa Kutcha, 43, of Kittanning reported the theft of 10 CDs and about $5 in change from her vehicle while it was parked on Freeport Road
