12:46 a.m. Monday - Richard Kern, 31, of Butler was charged with driving under the influence and trespass by motor vehicle after allegedly driving his pickup into a yard on Preston Drive.
Sunday - Christmas decorations were taken overnight from two homes on Monks Road. Dennis Carter said a decorative 3-foot lighted reindeer was taken from his house, and Mike Stecz said a decorative tree and reindeer were taken from his house.Sunday - Currency and coins were taken overnight from three vehicles at two homes on Dwellington Drive. John Goda said two vehicles at his home were broken into and a total of $100 in currency was taken. Angela Fariss said her car was broken into and about $3 in change taken.Dec. 6 - A cast-iron water foundation valued at $100 and Christmas lights were taken during business hours at the Wagon Wheel antiques store on Pittsburgh Road.
5:35 a.m. Monday - Carolyn Leach, 43, of Prospect lost control of her car on a slush-covered Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township, hitting a guardrail. The car slid back into on highway and was hit by a truck driven by Delbert Strawder, 53, of Vienna, Ohio.1:55 a.m. Sunday - Kevin Schandelmeier, 43, of Butler, was charged during a traffic stop at Route 308 and Branchton Road in Cherry Township for driving under the influence.Nov. 30 - Christopher M. Huellen, 20, of Slippery Rock was charged with forgery after he stole two check books belonging to his parents, Howard Huellen, 47, and Christine Huellen, 46, also of Slippery Rock. Christopher Huellen wrote multiple checks by forging his parent's names totaling about $1,000.1 p.m. Nov. 27 - Someone drove quad-runners through a cornfield owned by Dale Ambrose, 48, behind 175 Brinker Road in Summit Township.Noon Nov. 18 - Someone entered the home of Stacy Morrow, 37, on Levis Road in Portersville in Muddycreek Township and stole jewelry, clothing, CDs and other items. The victim's car was also damaged.2:39 a.m. Oct. 11 - Robert Redick, 40, of Butler was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after a traffic stop on Route 422 in Clearfield Township.
9 p.m. Saturday - Someone broke into pickup trucks owned by Joseph Stitt, 37, of Fairmount City and Gary McCluskey, 53, of East Brady while the vehicles were at the Rimersburg VFW on Route 68 in Madison Township, Clarion County. A Ruger 270 stainless steel rifle with scope was taken from Stitt's truck. Nothing was stolen from McCluskey's truck.
3:15 p.m. Monday - Jamil Jackson, 19, of Franklin suffered minor injuries after he crashed his truck attempting to pass a tractor-trailer on Route 8 in Irwin Township. As Jackson was passing the tractor-trailer, it swerved into the center of the road. Jackson swerved to avoid being hit and lost control of his truck on the snow-covered road.10:05 p.m. Saturday - Two unidentified men shortchanged the clerk at the Kwik Fill in Barkeyville $150.
10:15 p.m. Friday - Zach Mauthe, 21, of Kittanning told state police someone broke into his home on Quarry Road in North Buffalo Township and stole two Playstation 2 game systems, some video games and DVDs with a total value of $700.7:20 p.m. Friday - Fred Uzelac, 43, of Lower Burrell was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after his vehicle became stuck on Route 128 in South Buffalo Township in Armstrong County. Uzelac was placed in Armstrong County Jail.
