XTO Energy moves regional HQ to Cranberry Twp.

CRANBERRY TWP — XTO Energy is moving its regional headquarters from one side of the Thorn Hill Industrial Park to the other.

The move will bring the company over from Allegheny County and into Cranberry in Butler County.

Amy Dobkin, the community relations manager for the company, said 60 employees are expected to start making the transition in the next several months.

The new building at 190 Thorn Hill Road cost more than $3.7 million to buy. It is 30,000 square feet and is on 12 acres, according to Michael Johnson, the Appalachia division vice president.

The new building will serve as the Appalachian region headquarters for XTO Energy, a company that works in the oil and gas industry. It is a subsidiary of ExxonMobil.

Dobkin said the company’s new headquarters formerly housed a subsidiary of the Shell gas company.

Johnson said everyone in the company is excited for the move.

“This is an exciting transition for our team,” he said. “Many of our employees live in this area and we have a strong operational presence in Butler County that will be supported by our new Appalachian division headquarters.”
