WARRENDALE — XTO Energy marked the grand opening of its new offices Sept. 10 during a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

About 60 employees are in the new offices with a number of departments.

XTO had outgrown its original space and had division headquarters employees in two buildings. The new building allows XTO to bring those employees into one building.

The property is a 30,000-square-foot, single-story building on 12 acres, less than one mile from its previous Appalachia Division headquarters.

The division also has seven field offices in Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia.

The new office houses these departments: administrative, geology, engineering, production, environmental, health and safety, drilling, information technology, facilities, accounting, materials, regulatory, public and government affairs and land.

GROVE CITY — The Grove City Medical Center recently was recognized for the fourth consecutive year as the only Western Pennsylvania hospital not to have a financial penalty imposed by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, CMS, for readmitting patients within 30 days of a hospital stay.Beginning in 2012, CMS implemented its Hospital Readmission Reduction Program, which has a financial penalty for those hospitals readmitting a patient within 30 days of a previous stay. The program was put in place to monitor how well hospitals were managing their patients' care.“We evaluated every aspect of how our patients were transitioning from the hospital to home or to another level of care,” said Tony Bono, vice president of patient care services.
