Trinity Living Center

Last year, Trinity Living Center of Grove City celebrated a quarter century of caring for Grove City. The multilevel health care facility provides personal care, skilled nursing care and outpatient rehab/physical therapy, and is a state-certified Continuing Care Retirement Community. But even more than that, Trinity Living Center is a community staple, and will again be hosting a number of events to bring the residents of Grove City together.

“Even though our 25th anniversary year has passed, our agenda of events will be similar to last year, and has even grown,” said administrator Jean Dobay. “Just because we’re now 26 years old, doesn’t mean we have to stop the celebration.”

Dobay is a volunteer with the Rotary, the Chamber of Commerce, and other civic organizations in addition to her duties at Trinity.

The center’s traditional Easter Egg Hunt is at 10 a.m. April 4. The Easter Bunny will be present with cookies and milk for the children and over 1,200 plastic eggs will be hidden on the grounds for children up to 10 years old.

On May 2, Trinity will host its second-annual 5K Fun Run with nearly $800 in cash prizes on the line for runners with a post-race breakfast buffet. Also that day, a sports collectibles show and community yard sale will bring hundreds of residents together as the weather begins to break.

Last year’s much heralded “TLC ROCKS” event will return this summer with the prestigious “Grove City Idol” competition and a giant car cruise on July 25. Children’s activities, food vendors, and live entertainment also will be on the agenda.

Other noted celebrations at TLC recently included a Steelers pep rally with the Grove City varsity cheerleaders, a Super Bowl party, and the most successful Holiday Craft Show ever. Watch for the Craft Show to grow even larger in December of 2009.

Also in 2009 Trinity will continue on the “Culture Change Journey,” that is, the deep-rooted transformation from a medical, institutional model of care to a person-centered, human habitat model of care. All phases of delivering TLC’s quality care will be evolving to better the lives of the residents and further their relationships with our highly trained staff.

The care delivered by TLC’s Quality Care Team was a key factor in the facility being named again in 2008 to the list of “America’s Top Nursing Homes” in the guide published annually by the Consumers’ Research Council of America in Washington, D.C. TLC has appeared on this prestigious list repeatedly in the past five years.
