12:15 p.m. Wednesday - Edna Williams, 60, of Butler was charged with retail theft after allegedly taking $87 in jewelry at Boscov's, Clearview Mall, in Center Township.Wednesday - Someone between August and Wednesday took a state inspection sticker from a vehicle at Mount Chestnut Auto Sales on New Castle Road in Franklin Township.5:30 p.m. Tuesday - Jamar "Pup" Oden, 25, of Pittsburgh was arrested on drug charges after troopers, assisted by Saxonburg police, found narcotics at a Shaner Lane trailer home in Buffalo Township.A warrant search that followed a two-month undercover drug investigation found about 6 grams of suspected cocaine, 12 stamp bags of suspected heroin, drug paraphernalia and $1,407 in cash.Oden was arraigned on charges of possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance, and possession of a controlled substance, and placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bond.Police noted that during the search, several other suspects, who they did not identify, came to the home to buy drugs. Charges are pending against the unidentified suspects.6:58 p.m. Monday - A suspect, whom police did not identify, allegedly used a counterfeit $50 bill to pay for gas at the Kwik Fill store on New Castle Road in Prospect.

Feb 10 - John H. Chamberlain, 41, of 137 Woodridge Road was cited with summary violations of harassment and disorderly conduct for an incident inside the YMCA allegedly against the Butler YMCA aquatics director Scott Hendry.The incident occurred on Jan. 31, according to court documents filed with District Judge Pete Shaffer.Chamberlain, a YMCA board member, resigned from the board after the incident.
